I want to start doing something a little different on RLCD. I want to start the month off by sharing my goals for that month. This will be me putting my goals and wishes into the universe and it will hopefully also help me be accountable and stay on track. I’ve seen a few people do this on their blogs and I really liked the idea. It will also give a sense a accomplishment when I’m get to check these things off my to do list. So without further ado, let’s get into these goals, shall we?!
To be more consistent and post on a schedule
Sometimes I let life get in the way, and my blog starts to suffer because of it. For this reason I created a content calendar for myself in hopes that I will stay more consistent and post at least twice a week. No more excuses. I have all the ideas for future blog posts all set up, now all I have to do is take pictures and create the content.
I’ve always wanted to take this blog to the next level, but I know that consistency will be key in this process. If I don’t take it seriously no one else will either.
Make my brand more cohesive
I want everything to go together. Like a well accessorized outfit. Or a perfect makeup look. I want all of my platforms to have the same feel and look. It seems like an easy task but it’s actually not. I know I won’t accomplish this in one month, but I want to keep putting effort into it. This will include doing a branding photoshoot and making my blog posts more cohesive when it comes to the photos. My blog has already come a very long way from what it used to look like. I just need to adjust a few more things and I’ll be completely happy with it. Not only do I want to change up my blog but I will need my Youtube channel and Instagram page to carry the same feel. I got a lot of work ahead me peeps.
Include more lifestyle posts
Sometimes I get bored with just makeup posts, so let’s change that. I want to start bringing different content to RLCD. I want to share a little bit more of other things that I’m into. I love researching how to make my blog better, graphic design, sewing, and a bunch of other random stuff.
When I first started blogging I was a little more open to sharing different topics. The direction of my blog changed but I really want to make it a place where everyone feels like there’s something being offered that’s useful to them in some way.
Start going to the gym at least 3 times a week
Ok, I’m one of those people who pays for a gym membership every month in the hopes that somehow I’ll become motivated to go. And it hasn’t happened yet. So I’ve basically been throwing money away. So this month (by the Grace of God) I shall return to the gym….hopefully…that’s the goal.
I’m already planning my birthday trip and I want to be super ready for that, cause it will be LIT!
Stop eating out and cook more
I used to be so good about cooking everyday, and then I moved into my current area and there’s food EVERYWHERE! So with food being so accessible I tend to eat out more often than I should. But I’m hoping to change that this month. Not only will this help with my health journey but it will also help my pockets. Seriously.
Right now these two a my biggest focus for the month. I’m really hoping that I can stick with it and make it happen.
